CalSync

Privacy policy

CalSync is a private, self-hosted tool operated by Andries Fourie for his own calendars. It is not offered to the public.

What it accesses

With your permission (Google or Microsoft sign-in), CalSync reads the events on the calendars you connect and creates, updates and deletes private "Busy" placeholder events on your other connected calendars, so that your availability is the same everywhere. It also reads your email address to label the connected account.

What it stores

It stores your account's email address, the names of your calendars, the sign-in tokens (encrypted) and the identifiers of the placeholder events it created. It does not store the contents of your events. Event details are read when needed and shown only to the signed-in owner.

Sharing

No data is sold, shared with third parties or used for advertising or AI training. Data is used only to provide the sync.

Removing access

Removing an account in CalSync deletes its placeholders and stored tokens. You can also revoke access at any time at Google or in your Microsoft account settings.

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
